Multi-monitor and Windows 7
Thursday, January 15, 2009 6:49:49 PM UTC ( Windows 7 )

A just noticed that Windows 7 has added support for moving windows between monitors.

Use Win+Shift with Left or Right arrow key to move the current window around. You can also do some fun positioning when combining the Windows key with the arrow keys.

Much appreciated improvements!

I see you are using multiple monitors on Win 7. I am also, and "accidentally" enabled the new dual taskbar option a couple days ago, and just cannot get it to work again! I've been searching every blog/note/support page on the net and cannot find any beta testers that have talked about how to enable and disable this awesome feature. (It wasn't my video card, it was for sure a planned feature as I could customize each taskbar separately!) By chance have you used the dual taskbars or now how to enable them/disable them "on purpose" ?

(Only the main taskbar had the new preview etc, but the second taskbar on the auxilliary extended monitor had its own. They were only folders, but were specific to which applications were open on the second monitor. I could right click and customize which links/toolbars were on each taskbar individually. I was absolutely elated, but cannot get it to run again.)
